A new partnership is born: Allianz Suisse and KASKO launch innovative flat share insurance “splitsurance” within 12 weeks.
KASKO is proud to announce that it has launched its first product in partnership with Allianz Suisse. Allianz used KASKO’s cloud-based, insurance lifecycle platform to create and run an innovative new insurance product, splitsurance. The offering targets university students in Switzerland, who live in a flat share. Customers can get a liability cover, insure up to three high value items of their choosing and soon they will be able to get “Urban Mobility Insurance” as well. Not only that, but they also get discounts if they convince their flatmates to join and they can manage and update their cover autonomously through an after sales customer portal.
Robert: “splitsurance was developed via an internal innovation sprint late in 2017. Following that we were looking for partners to bring our idea to market. We picked KASKO not only because of their technology but also because they convinced us about their deep understanding of insurance and working with large insurers. I have to admit, both we and KASKO did underestimate the complexities of the processes involved in setting up the groups of insured to allow flat mates to invite each other into their virtual “flat share”. Whilst we did run somewhat over time, what impressed me most: KASKO was always transparent and looking for a fair solution. Especially when things don’t go as planned, partnerships are tested. Personally, I am looking forward to working with KASKO in the future. “
